Real Zaragoza are held to a frustrating goalless draw by Espanyol, as both teams end the match with 10 men at Estadio de La Romareda.

Both teams ended the game with 10 men as Real Zaragoza and Espanyol played out a goalless draw at Estadio de La Romareda in La Liga this evening.

The hosts dominated the match, but they were unable to find the crucial breakthrough as Alvaro, Victor Rodriguez and Helder Postiga were all denied by Espanyol goalkeeper Francisco Casilla, who won the man-of-the-match award.

Javi Lopez was shown a red card on 79 minutes when he picked up a second yellow for a rash tackle on Francisco Montanes.

Zaragoza's numerical advantage lasted just four minutes until Cristian Sapunaru was also sent off for committing two bookable offences.

Zaragoza remain 13th in the league table, while Espanyol rise one place to 14th.
