Sampdoria coach Delio Rossi has insisted that he "cleared the air" with the Roma players after getting into an altercation in the final minutes.
Rossi was sent off during his side's 3-1 victory over Roma following a dispute with Nicolas Burdisso on the touchline.
However, despite emotions running high during the game, Rossi has revealed that "everything is fine" after speaking to the Roma players.
"I cleared the air with the Roma players, everything is fine. These things happen on the pitch and they end there," said the former Lazio coach. "There was no gesture nor drama, but the tension and irritability of the match situation ends at the final whistle.
"Roma put us under pressure in midfield, where we did not do that well, but this was an important victory against a great team.
"I have some talented players and they have dedicated themselves to my vision completely. A coach can propose anything he wants, but if the players don't listen then it's pointless."
Today's win leaves Sampdoria in 11th place in Serie A.
