Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will battle Barcelona and Real Madrid for the signature of Giovani Lo Celso this summer, according to a report.

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to battle Barcelona and Real Madrid for the signature of midfielder Giovani Lo Celso in this summer's transfer window.

Lo Celso, 22, is currently on loan at Real Betis from Paris Saint-Germain and has scored 12 times in 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to Marca, Betis will complete a permanent deal for the midfielder at the end of the season, at which point they will sell to the highest bidder, with Celso's price potentially reaching £52m.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been strongly linked with the Argentina international, but the report has claimed that Man City and Tottenham are also considering moves this summer.

Lo Celso made 48 appearances for PSG last term but was deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the 2018-19 season.
