Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Union Berlin vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Union Berlin vs. Borussia Dortmund.

An always-improving Union Berlin side welcome Borussia Dortmund to the German capital in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

In a clash between two Croatian managers, Nenad Bjelica and Edin Terzic will lock horns for the first time in a clash between two of the most in-form sides in Germany to start 2024.

We say: Union Berlin 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have found things a little hard-going of late, and a surprise home defeat last week may have dented confidence slightly ahead of a fixture against in-form opponents.

Union's early-season troubles have been left long in the past, and their steady rise up the table could continue this weekend with another positive result.

Mainz vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Relegation-threatened Mainz 05 seek back-to-back Bundesliga wins at Mewa Arena when they take on Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

The home side are two unbeaten in front of their supporters, with a 1-0 triumph over Augsburg on February 17 only the Carnival Club's second success on familiar soil this season, and they hope to secure three points in gameweek 24 against opponents that do not travel well.

We say: Mainz 05 1-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Neither side is in positive form, and the spoils could be shared at the home of the strugglers this weekend.

VfL Bochum vs. RB Leipzig (Saturday, 2.30pm)

After a polarising pair of results over the past two weeks, VfL Bochum now welcome RB Leipzig to the Ruhrstadion in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Bochum were able to do something Leipzig could not, beat Bayern Munich two weeks ago, but Thomas Letsch's side fell to defeat last weekend, as both sides will be looking to bounce back from recent disappointments.

We say: VfL Bochum 2-3 RB Leipzig

Leipzig's form has not been ideal in 2024, with just seven points to show for their efforts in the past seven games, but the signs have been there that they can put a good run together.

Everything came tumbling down for Bochum last week as they conceded five to an out-of-form Gladbach side, and while goals are likely in this one, another defeat for the hosts is too.

Heidenheim vs. Frankfurt (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Heidenheim seek to return to winning ways at Voith-Arena when they host Eintracht Frankfurt in a Bundesliga gameweek 24 clash on Saturday.

The newly promoted side have hitherto enjoyed a commendable debut season in the league, and they should smell blood against a Frankfurt side that have won just one away match in their last seven in the top division.

We say: Heidenheim 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

The home side should return to winning ways on their turf to extend Frankfurt's run without winning on the road to four games.

Darmstadt vs. Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Relegation favourites SV Darmstadt 98 welcome Augsburg to the Merck-Stadion in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

In a meeting between two of the weakest defences in Europe's top five leagues, Augsburg will still have one eye on qualifying for Europe, while the hosts look destined for the drop.

We say: SV Darmstadt 98 1-1 Augsburg

Darmstadt got their only away win of the season so far in the reverse fixture, and after getting a draw last weekend against the only other side they have beaten this season, Werder Bremen, another could be possible here.

Augsburg's form has hardly set the world alight in the past few months with just two wins in 10, and a recent defeat to Mainz suggests this will not be as straightforward as it appears on paper.

Wolfsburg vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 5.30pm)

A Wolfsburg side in desperate need of a win welcome high-flying Stuttgart to the Volkswagen Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening.

The visitors are showing no signs of giving up their place in the top four, while Wolfsburg still have one eye over their shoulder following a long winless run.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-2 Stuttgart

Despite a minor slip up last week, Stuttgart are still moving clear of those below them in the race for the Champions League, and will be favourites against a side with just two wins in 17.

With two extremely difficult games ahead on paper against third-placed Stuttgart here, and unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen next, Wolfsburg may find themselves ominously closer to the bottom three in a couple of weeks time.
