Free agent Nigel Reo-Coker has agreed terms with the Vancouver Whitecaps ahead of flying out to Canada to join the club.
The 28-year-old had been linked with the likes of the New York Red Bulls and the Portland Timbers, but has decided to put pen to paper on a deal with the Whitecaps.
The former West Ham United, Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers man has been without a club since January after a short-term deal at Ipswich Town came to an end, but he is excited about experiencing the MLS.
"I am delighted, it will be a new experience and I can't wait," Reo-Coker told Sky Sports News ahead of flying to Vancouver.
"I am looking forward to the challenge."
Reo-Coker, who has an American wife, would be signed in time to make his debut against rivals Toronto on March 2.
