West Bromwich Albion reportedly turned down a loan bid from Reading for Australian international defender Jason Davidson last week.
The 23-year-old has made just five appearances, just two of which have come in the Premier League, for the Baggies since joining the club from Dutch outfit Heracles in the summer.
According to Australian broadcaster SBS, Championship side Reading tried to sign Davidson before the emergency loan window closed last week and had their move rejected.
Davidson is said to be keen on a temporary move away as the lack of football with West Brom has seen him fall down the pecking order with his country.
