West Ham United vice chairman Karren Brady suggests that the loan system is beneficial to sides such as the Hammers, who loaned Victor Moses from Chelsea last week.

West Ham United vice chairman Karren Brady has suggested that the loan system is beneficial to Premier League teams such as the Hammers.

The 46-year-old - who joined the board at Upton Park in 2010 - has responded to claims made by Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor, who admitted that he was worried about how Chelsea have used the loan system to "warehouse" players.

Writing in The Sun, Brady said: "We are grateful at West Ham for the loan system, something I personally campaigned for and got the Premier League to adopt.

"So I am not about to join the criticism players' union chief executive Gordon Taylor is voicing. We've borrowed Alex Song, Carl Jenkinson, Victor Moses and Manuel Lanzini, so why should I?"

West Ham signed Victor Moses on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
