Valtteri Bottas: 'We expected more in qualifying'

Valtteri Bottas claims that he can still finish the 2015 season on a high, despite starting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from sixth on the grid.

Valtteri Bottas has admitted that Williams are still confident that they have a competitive car for Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, despite only managing sixth place in qualifying.

As well as the Mercedes duo of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton on the front row of the grid, the Finn will start behind Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, Force India's Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo for Red Bull.

However, Bottas has claimed that he is still in a good position to finish the final race of the season with good points.

"We expected slightly more from qualifying, but I think we have a competitive car for tomorrow to fight with Force India, Red Bull and hopefully Ferrari.

"The balance felt good today but we were just missing some speed, as we have been all weekend. It should be an exciting race and we will fight to the end for every position to finish the season on a high."

Bottas is currently one point ahead of fifth-placed Raikkonen in the drivers' standings.
