Former Ryder Cup captain Mark James believes that Lee Westwood will end his long wait for a Major this evening.

Westwood has a two-shot lead going into the final round of The Open at Muirfield today.

He has already said that he knows what to expect, and James thinks that he can fend off the challenge from Tiger Woods among others.

"I think he'll win," James told Metro. "I think he'll win by two or three.

"He's in control of his emotions and his game. He showed a lot of resistance in the third round and that's what you need to win a major.

"This course suits the way he plays. Today is ideal for him, he'll look forward to the challenge."

Westwood will partner Hunter Mahan for the final round after playing alongside Woods during his first three rounds.
