Jamie Donaldson pleased with form ahead of Ryder Cup

Jamie Donaldson is pleased with his form heading into the Ryder Cup this week as Europe bid to retain their title at Gleneagles.

Jamie Donaldson is confident about his form ahead of this week's Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.

The 38-year-old will compete for Europe after finishing fourth at the Wales Open on Sunday, two shots behind winner Joost Luiten.

"It was a good, solid week and I played nicely every day, I couldn't have got much more out of it if I'd tried," BBC Sport quotes Donaldson as saying.

"The form has been running well for a while now, so it was important to keep playing well up until the Ryder Cup even though I got in a month ago."

The tournament against the USA will get underway in Scotland on Friday.
