The wife of Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly struck up a friendship with the other half of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.
The 62-year-old has been widely tipped to take over from recently-sacked David Moyes, with reports claiming that a deal could be tied up as early as next week.
Dutch journalist Thyce Sleggers has suggested that Van Gaal will settle into life in Manchester with the help of Van Persie, telling talkSPORT that his wife Truus occasionally goes shopping with the striker's partner Bouchra.
The pair's friendship is believed to have concerned United forward Wayne Rooney, who is reportedly worried that he may become second fiddle to Van Persie if Van Gaal takes over.
