Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is reportedly concerned about the possibility of Louis van Gaal becoming the next manager at the club.
A recent report claimed that the Dutchman is on the verge of signing a three-year contract at Old Trafford worth around £25m.
However, Rooney is uneasy about Van Gaal's good working relationship with striker Robin van Persie, according to the Daily Mail.
The England international is worried about falling down the pecking order under the potential new boss, in a similar manner to Sir Alex Ferguson's last season in charge – a campaign that culminated with Rooney handing in a transfer request.
David Moyes was sacked by the Red Devils last week after a disastrous season that included 11 defeats – their most ever in the Premier League era.
