Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of day five of the Olympic swimming.
We have another exciting day of aquatic action coming up, with Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte going head to head once again in this morning's men's 200m individual medley.
Looking ahead to this evening, there are four gold medals up for grabs, and Team GB duo Michael Jamieson and Andrew Willis could both make the podium in the men's 200m breaststroke final.
Fellow Briton Jemma Lowe is hoping she can do the same after impressing during the semi-finals of the women's equivalent.
Please note that the heats get under way at 10:00am.

21.35That's all from us today. It's been quite a day in the pool. We've had a silver medal for Team GB, a new world record in the women's 200m breaststroke, and an Olympic record in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay.
21.17The US clinch it, with Australia taking the silver, and bronze going to France.

20.48Very impressive from James Goddard in the men's 200m individual medley semi-final. He was in a heat with Phelps and Lochte, and took third behind the American heavyweights.

20.31Nathan Adrian takes the gold in the men's 100m freestyle from under the nose of favourite James Magnussen, who had to settle for silver.

19.59Clary is first, but Zhang made him work for that! Watanabe of Japan is in third.
19.58Lochte finished in 1:55.40. Clary leads at the halfway point of the second semi, followed by Zhang of China.
19.56We're into the men's 200m backstroke semi-finals now. Lochte wins the first heat. Tyler Clary is up in the second.
19.46Kromowidjojo led from halfway stage and powered to an Olympic record finish of 53.05. Halsall makes the final in join-fourth!
19.43Four came in in under 54 seconds there, and the second heat is expected to be quicker. Our girls are in for a tough one.
19.41Schlanger of Australia win the first heat with a time of 53.38. Our girls are up in the second heat.
19.40Fran Halsall and Amy Smith are in semi-final action in the women's 100m freestyle now.
19.39Jamieson's time was 2:07.43. It took a world record to beat that. He really was phenomenal!
19.37Bronze goes to Ryo Tateishi of Japan, and his compatriot Kitajima is consigned to fourth. Willis comes finishes in eighth.
19.35Gyurta lead at the turn and powers through the final length to set a new world record of 2:07.28, but Jamieson puts in a fantastic effort to come in second and claim silver!
19.34Kitajima is in the lead with the Brits in the chasing pack with Gyurta.

19.25Personally, I think our best shot at a medal tonight lies with Jamieson. Him and Willis taking respective sliver and bronze in the 200m breaststroke is within the realms of possibility.

10.29Here comes the first seeded heat. We have two Britons in this - Chris Walker-Hebborn and Marco Loughran. They're up against Tyler Clary of the US.

9.59Lithuanian sensation Ruta Meilutyte is up in heat four of this event. She's surely one to watch after her gold medal-winning performance in the 100m breaststroke.

9.39Phelps is looking to increase that record today when he goes up against teammate and rival Ryan Lochte in the men's 200m individual medley. The heats take place just after 11.00 today.
