Zhang Jike has overcome his Chinese compatriot Wang Hao to take the gold medal in the men's table tennis final.
There wasn't much between the pair in the first game, with both serving well. However, it was Zhang who took the advantage and grabbed the 1-0 lead with an 18-16 win over 14 minutes.
Zhang continued his dominance by swiftly snatching the second and third game 11-5 and 11-6 respectively and looked poised to take the gold 4-0.
Despite his control over the match, the nerves found Zhang in the fourth game as Wang refused to give up hope and edged the game 12-10, taking the contest to a fifth game.
While he tried to launch a comeback, Wang didn't have enough to cause an upset and Zhang added yet another gold for China, while Wang went home with silver.
