USA's women have cruised to a gold medal in the water polo following a 8-5 victory over Spain in London.
The Spaniards started the final well and were ahead in the first quarter before being pegged back by the Americans shortly after.
USA put themselves in the second period by completely dominating their opponents to build a substantial lead with four goals in quick succession.
Spain were clearly rocked by the performance of the USA in the second period and they couldn't respond after the break as the lead was extended to 7-2.
A spirited fightback from the Europeans in the third quarter was not enough for them to force an unlikely win and the Americans held firm to secure the Olympic title.
