Manchester United are 'happy' with the direction that the club are heading in under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to a report.

Manchester United's hierarchy are reportedly 'happy' with the direction that the club are heading in under the management of current head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils allegedly have no plans to sack the Norwegian despite a disappointing run of form which has seen the team win just one of their last five matches in all competitions.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is regarded as the favourite to replace Solskjaer if there is a change at the helm, but according to The Sun, Man United view the 48-year-old as a long-term head coach.

The report claims that the 20-time English champions are 'fully behind' their manager and will continue to back him as the club attempt to return to the top of the Premier League once again.

Man United have taken just one point from their last three league matches and currently sit sixth in the table, five points behind leaders Chelsea.

The Red Devils are back in Champions League action against Atalanta BC on Wednesday night before welcoming bitter rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford in the Premier League next weekend.
