Stuttgart stage comeback against Borussia Monchengladbach

Stuttgart come from a goal down to defeat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 away from home in the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart have defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 away from home in the Bundesliga.

Former Stuttgart defender Martin Stranzl put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute after picking up on a mistake from Serdar Tasci.

However, a minute later Martin Harnik equalised for Bruno Labbadia's side when he headed home Christian Molinaro's cross.

Christian Gentner was unlucky not to put the visitors in front in the early minutes of the second half.

He was first denied by Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen before Roel Brouwers cleared his follow-up header off the line.

Stuttgart, though, did find the winner and it came on 72 minutes when Brouwers diverted Zdravko Kuzmanovic's attempt off the underside of the crossbar and into his own goal.
