A report claims that Arsenal are in pole position to sign Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille.

Arsenal are leading Manchester United in the race to sign Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, according to a report.

The 22-year-old made 34 appearances for the French side in all competitions in 2019-20 and is rumoured to be valued in the region of £27m.

Lille have accepted that the Brazilian is likely to move on this summer and have already brought in Sven Botman from Ajax as a replacement.

Man Utd supposedly see Magalhaes as a long-term partner for Harry Maguire, but France Bleu claims that Arsenal are in pole position to land his signature.

Meanwhile, a separate report indicates that Manchester City and Everton have also been keeping tabs on Magalhaes.
