Rashard Mendenhall has been ruled out of the Arizona Cardinals' against the Atlanta Falcons later today.
The running back, who has 281 rushing yards and three touchdowns so far this season, has been hampered by a lingering toe injury.
ESPN reports that rookie Andre Ellington, who scored his first NFL touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers earlier this month, will start in his place.
The Cardinals picked Ellington in the sixth round of the 2013 Draft, while Mendenhall joined the team as a free agent earlier this year.
