Alan Branch pleased to extend Buffalo Bills stay

Alan Branch is glad to have extended his contract at Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Alan Branch has revealed that he is delighted to remain a part of the franchise as they look to build for the future.

Branch said that it was important to sign a new contract for his own future, but added that he is enjoying being part of a competitive team on the field.

"It feels good just knowing my future is secure for a little bit and just not wondering what's going to be happening the next couple of months," he told the club's official website. "That's a load off as well.

"Just knowing I'm on a team like the team I'm on right now. The players that are passionate and competitive and just knowing that we're just a step away from putting everything together and becoming that playoff team that we know that we can be. I'm excited about being a part of that building process."

The Bills managed to shut out Miami Dolphins in their last game.
