Carolina Panthers "very disappointed" by Greg Hardy allegations

The Carolina Panthers admit that they are "very disappointed" by allegations of domestic violence levelled at Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy.

The Carolina Panthers have admitted that they are "very disappointed" by allegations levelled at defensive end Greg Hardy.

Hardy was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning and has since been charged with domestic violence following an incident involving his girlfriend.

The 25-year-old is alleged to have physically assaulted and threatened the woman, and the Panthers expressed their concern for "all parties" involved.

"We are very disappointed to learn of the allegations involving Greg and are concerned for all parties as we continue to investigate," the team said in a statement.

Hardy enjoyed the best season of his career last year, recording a team-high 15 sacks and earning a place in the Pro Bowl for the first time as the Panthers reached the playoffs.
