Chris Ogbonnaya has described his transition from running back to fullback as "somewhat smooth".
The 27-year-old is preparing to change position for his third season with the Cleveland Browns.
He told the team's official website: "Last year, I was able to play a little bit of fullback in particular packages, so the transition has been somewhat smooth. I'm just going to continue to work on it.
"If you understand what the running back is supposed to do within our offense, it doesn't make the fullback job as hard to do. There's a physical component of it, but playing running back is physically demanding.
"You learn to protect. You learn to pick up blitzes, and I take a lot of pride in being able to do that, and catch the football. For me, it's just one of those things. You want to combine all of those different abilities and talents that you've been blessed with and try to put them into one position."
Ogbonnaya recorded 30 rushing yards and 187 receiving yards during the 2012 NFL season.
