Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has admitted that he is proud of his side despite their failure to reach the post-season for the fourth straight season.
The Cowboys missed out on reaching the playoffs in the final game of the year for the third year in a row, as quarterback Kyle Orton threw a late interception to condemn his side to defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"We understand it's a bottom line business and we did not get the job done," Garrett told reporters. "There's a lot to be proud of with this football team, a lot to be proud of the performance last night.
"We have to play better on defense, there's no question about that. We've done that the last three years, we played the last game of the season for the NFC East and we didn't get the job done. And we all have to live with that."
Garrett has been in charge in Dallas for three-and-a-half years after taking over in the 2010 season.
