Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has been named as the NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Murray had an outstanding season for the Cowboys as he led the league in rushing yards for the first time in his career, running for 1,845 yards along with 13 touchdowns.
The 26-year-old beat out Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to win the award as he helped his side reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2009 season, including a fine start to the season when he rushed for over 100 yards in eight consecutive matches.
Murray will be a free agent when the league season officially ends in March.
