Calvin Johnson back running

Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson reveals that he is making progress in his return from an ankle injury.

Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has revealed that he has started running again after being sidelined with an ankle injury.

The 29-year-old sat out week seven due to the ankle issue, but he is hopeful that he will be able to return to the field against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

"I'm back running. That's a great thing for me right now," Johnson said, NFL.com reports.

Johnson has travelled with the team to London for the game at Wembley on Sunday, but there has been no confirmation as to whether or not he will feature.

The Lions are 5-2 for the season so far and they sit above divisional rivals the Green Bay Packers at the top of the NFC North.
