Green Bay Packers take Vince Young on trial

The Green Bay Packers give former first-round draft pick Vince Young a trial.

Green Bay Packers have handed a trial to former Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young.

Young is expected to complete his workout today after being spotted at the Green Bay airport last night.

The Packers are reported to be looking at their back-ups to first-choice quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with Graham Harrell and BJ Coleman their only other options in reserve.

Young last played in the NFL back in 2011 for the Philadelphia Eagles, whom he joined after an up-and-down spell with the Titans that ended with him being released.

The 30-year-old was the third overall pick in the 2006 draft and went on to break a number of records in his rookie season, and was also named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
