Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has revealed that he was delighted to return to the practice field for the first time since undergoing surgery.
The 22-year-old underwent microfracture surgery to repair a knee injury sustained in his rookie season, which limited his impact for the Texans in the last campaign.
Clowney has admitted that he was pleased to be back competing after spending the off-season rehabbing from his operation.
"I felt pretty good," Clowney told reporters. "Just happy to be back out here with my teammates. I was very excited to be out here.
"It's going to be great when I can get back out there and rush the passer. I'm tired of hitting blocking dummies that don't hit back."
The Texans selected Clowney with the first overall pick in the 2014 Draft.
