Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson has admitted that his side's playoff defeat to the Indianapolis Colts "hurt".
The Chiefs led by 28 points at one point in the second half, but a stunning recovery from the Colts saw them produce the second biggest comeback in playoff history to record a 45-44 win.
"It's hard to put in words, to lose a game that we clearly had control over. Coming from having the first pick last year to making the playoff this year, we did accomplish some things," Johnson told The AP.
"At the same time, our standard is very high and this one hurts."
Johnson has now lost all three of the playoff games he has appeared in during his nine-year career.
