Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins has reportedly received a short ban from the NFL, having violated the league's substance-abuse policy.
According to the NFL's official website, media insider Ian Rapport says that the player will now serve a four-match suspension.
Watkins has had previous off-field issues, when he was released by the St Louis Rams after reporting to training camp overweight two years in a row.
City's offensive credentials are now due to be tested, with Watkins previously expected to play a backup role to Jeff Allen and Jeff Linkenbach.
