Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner has admitted that he is trying to get Adrian Peterson more involved in his side's passing game ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old ran for 1,266 yards in the 2013 season, but only caught 29 passes out of the backfield for 171 yards as the Vikings' passing offense struggled throughout the campaign.
"A big part of that is finding ways for Adrian to not have to run in such crowded areas all the time," Turner told reporters.
"He's going to have to do that, that's part of his job, he's the best in the league at it. But if we can get him more space we can take advantage of his great abilities."
The Vikings were ranked 23rd in passing offense in the NFL last season.
