New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount has insisted that he didn't orchestrate his exit from the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this season.
Blount was cut by the Steelers in November, one day after reportedly leaving the field early during a game after failing to record a single carry.
"You know things didn't work out as planned," he told reporters.
"So we decided to part ways. I ended up here and now I'm about to play in the Super Bowl."
Given the speed with which he signed with the Patriots, Blount dismissed suggestions that he already knew he had a deal waiting with New England before his split with Pittsburgh.
