Art Rooney II has insisted that the decision over Tom Brady's appeal against his suspension is "in the commissioner's hands".
The New England Patriots quarterback was handed a four-game suspension for his knowledge of the Super Bowl champions using deflated footballs in the NFL playoffs.
The Pittsburgh Steelers co-owner told NFL Network: "It's in the commissioner's hands. I assume [the decision will] be soon but I really don't know. This is part of Roger [Goodell]'s decision, absolutely."
Brady's appeal was heard at the NFL's New York offices last month, with a decision expected in the near future.
