Tom Coughlin has said that Michael Vick's accuracy is responsible for his low interception rate this season.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, who is expected to return from a hamstring injury this weekend, has two interceptions compared to five touchdown passes.
The New York Giants head coach told reporters: "He has that ability to lengthen the play. That's probably as good a reason as any. He is accurate. He does throw well with the deep ball.
"He can create opportunities for himself to prolong the play and make it extended down the field and under those circumstances, he gives himself not only a chance to run, but also to find a receiver even more wide open.
"That may be as good a reason, but he also is a talented quarterback that's always been able to throw the ball well. He does have a very strong arm, whether it's an underneath throw or a deep throw. There's never any question about his ability to throw."
The Eagles face the Giants for the second time this season on Sunday.
