New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has admitted that he would restructure his contract if it would mean the franchise could work out a deal to keep Victor Cruz.
Manning's contract next season will be worth £14m but has highlighted the importance of wide reciever Cruz by saying that he would "work something out" if asked to by the Giants.
"If the Giants want to work something out, I am always up for listening, figuring out what I can do to help the cause," NFL.com quotes Manning as saying.
"I want Victor back with the Giants. It is nerve-wracking. He is anxious. He has been dealing with this contract issue for a long time, last year and into this year.
"I know he wants to get this settled and get back to playing football, and just worrying about that."
Cruz is the only wide receiver since Manning became starting QB to have received over 1000 yards in a season.
