Jerry Reese: 'Justin Tuck will test free agency'

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese admits that the club are going to allow defensive end Justin Tuck to test the free-agent market in March.

New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese has revealed that the club are going to allow defensive end Justin Tuck to hit free agency.

The 30-year-old has been with the Giants since 2005 and had an inconsistent campaign in 2013 notching 11 sacks, 8.5 of which came in the last five weeks of the season.

"Justin is going to go to the market and see what's out there for him," Reese told reporters.

"I had talks with all those [prospective free agents]. Free agency means free agency. It means you go out and get as much as you can.

"I'm all for players getting as much as they can. Justin deserves to see what the market is. We'd love to have him back. We'll see where it goes."

The Giants will also let wide receiver Hakeem Nicks test the free-agent market.
