Larry Fitzgerald has committed his future to the Arizona Cardinals after signing an eight-year deal which could net him $120m (£73m).
The wide receiver, whose future has been discussed at length, denied using his position as star man of the offensive to broke a better deal.
"I'm not one to hold a hammer over anybody's head," the 27-year-old said.
"This is [owner Bill] Bidwill's team. He's going to do everything he can to make this organisation go and we have seen it.
"The activity in free agency was something I hadn't seen since I had been here. I think that's an example of the things to come. I think we will continue to be aggressive but I can't worry about that. I have to just go out and do my job."
Arizona traded to pick up Philadelphia quarterback Kevin Kolb over the off-season, as well as adding a number of other players in free agency.
