Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has strongly denied claims from ex-teammate Shawn Andrews that he bullied him.
Andrews told Sync Weekly that McNabb contributed to making his life at the Eagles "a living hell", claiming that the six-time Pro Bowler was "degrading" towards him and "spread rumours" about his sexuality.
However, McNabb believes that such accusations are "ridiculous" and is unsure where they have come from.
"That is ridiculous. I don't know what comments you expect to get from me, but that is news to me and completely false. For me to bully anybody, that sounds unbelievable," McNabb told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
"I don't really understand why this would come about, one, and two, how this would even be an accusation. If there's anything I can say, I was more than open to Shawn. I always tried to be open to all the guys."
The claims were prompted by the ongoing situation at the Miami Dolphins, where the NFL are investigating reports that Richie Incognito bullied teammate Jonathan Martin.
