Mike Tomlin has been fined $100,000 (£61,000) following an incident during the Pittsburgh Steelers' 22-20 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens last week.
The head coach appeared to step on the field to impede the Ravens' Jacoby Jones, who was in the process of returning a punt during the Thanksgiving Day clash last Thursday.
The league announced the fine today, but is still considering whether to enforce a modification or forfeiture to the AFC North side's Draft picks for next year.
Tomlin has since admitted that he is embarrassed by his actions.
