Shareece Wright signs one-year deal with San Francisco 49ers

Cornerback Shareece Wright signs a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers after being allowed to leave the San Diego Chargers at the end of the 2014 season.

The San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent cornerback Shareece Wright on a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old was allowed the leave the San Diego Chargers at the end of the 2014 season after failing to agree a new contract to extend his four-year stay at the AFC West club.

Jim Tomsula's men moved to sign Wright to a one-year contract worth up to $4m (£2.7m) after losing players at the cornerback position during free agency.

Wright recorded 137 tackles and one interception in his four years with the Chargers.
