Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has criticised the San Francisco 49ers fans, calling them "mediocre" following his team's 19-3 win on Thursday night.
Sherman had two interceptions in the game to guide the Seahawks to the win but he was left unimpressed with the home crowd.
"Yeah, their fans [were mediocre]," he said, according to the News Tribune. "Their fans. Their fans were. Their fans, you know, threw a few jabs. And then someone of them threw a glass bottle at the end, as we were jogging in."
The outspoken Seahawks star added that he waved goodbye to the fans who departed the game early as the 49ers slipped to 7-5 for the season.
Meanwhile, Seattle remain second in the NFC West with an 8-4 record as they now trail the divisional leaders the Arizona Cardinals by one game.
