Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider has insisted that the organisation is relaxed over contract talks with quarterback Russell Wilson.
Negotiations are understood to be ongoing between the two parties, although Schneider had no update as to whether or not they were closer to an agreement.
"I'm not going to get into specifics on Russell's situation other than to say that we all love Russell and we want him to be our quarterback for a long time," Schneider said, according to ESPN.
Wilson is in the final year of his rookie contract, and is expected to want a significant pay rise in signing a new deal with the Seahawks.
Schneider remains adamant that the feelings are mutual over a new deal, and that Seattle want to keep their core players together.
