The Tennessee Titans have signed quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, just hours after releasing Matt Hasselbeck.
The 37-year-old spent the 2012 season, which was his second year with the Titans, as backup to Jake Locker.
General manager Ruston Webster said in a statement: "I want to thank Matt for his contributions to our team over the last two years.
"He was an important part of the transition process, he was a pro at every turn and he provided an example to the rest of the team. I know that we are a better team for his being here and we wish him the best."
Fitzpatrick, who was cut by the Buffalo Bills last week, has agreed to a two-year deal with the side, subject to the 30-year-old passing a physical.
Hasselbeck has been linked to a move to the Indianapolis Colts.
