Chicago Bears defensive tackle Stephen Paea is poised to join the Washington Redskins, according to a report.
The 26-year-old was selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2011 Draft, and had started for three seasons in the heart of the NFC North side's defense.
However, the club were unable to agree a new deal with Paea, who has held discussions with the Redskins during the legal tampering period and is poised to join them when free agency begins on Tuesday, reports NFL Network.
Paea has recorded 94 tackles and 12 sacks in his four years with the Bears.
