A closely fought third-place playoff at Lord's has ended with a bronze medal for Japan.
Both teams shot sevens with their first arrows and were level at 49 after the first end.
Russia took a six-point lead at the half-way point with 105 to Japan's 99 and were looking good for the medal.
However Japan fought back on the fourth end, taking it 54-51 to set up the final set of arrows with just one point in it.
Russia needed a 10 to level the scores after Japan's final arrow scored maximum points but they could only manage an eight and Japan took the bronze.
