The afternoon and evening of day eight of the Olympic Games are expected to be the busiest in London since the event began.
The Olympic Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity as Jessica Ennis goes for gold in the women's heptathlon, so roads to and from the Olympic Stadium are likely to be congested from around 5pm onwards.
The London Underground is also expected to be full to capacity so it is advised that travellers allow extra time to make their way to relevant venues.
The Jubilee and Metropolitan lines and Baker Street, Kings Cross and Green Park stations are likely to be busy in the afternoon with spectators travelling between Central London and Wembley.
Away from London, the men's football quarter-finals continue throughout the day with games at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and Newcastle's St James' Park, so it is expected that traffic will be congested in the hour leading up to each match.
