London have tabled a bid to host the Paralympic Athletics World Championships in five years' time.
The city's mayor Boris Johnson has sent a bid to the International Paralympic Committee in the hope of securing the 2017 event at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
If successful, London will become the first city to host both the World Athletics Championships and the Paralympics equivalent in the same year.
The bid comes after the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were staged in London over the summer.
