Christine Ohuruogu delighted the home crowd in this afternoon's Diamond League event in Birmingham by winning the women's 400m event.
The 30-year-old world champion crossed the line in 51.40s to edge out American duo Joanna Atkins [51.53s] and Jessica Beard [51.63s].
Ohuruogu's compatriot Kelly Massey ran a new personal best of 51.96s in finishing fifth.
"I wasn't expecting that," Ohuruogu told reporters afterwards. "I was running down the home straight and saw that I was winning.
"It's good for the crowd to see that. The time wasn't all that great but it doesn't really matter."
Ohuruogo will defend her world title a year from now in Beijing.
