Great Britain's Tiffany Porter misses out on a World Championship medal after finishing fifth in the women's 100m hurdles final in Beijing.

Great Britain's Tiffany Porter failed to win a medal in the final of the women's 100m hurdles at the World Championships in Beijing.

The 27-year-old, who won bronze in the competition two years ago, was in the lead at the halfway point, but her competitors came through as she tumbled over the line fifth, two hundredths of a second outside of a medal.

Jamaica's Danielle Williams stormed ahead in the final few hurdles to take gold in a personal-best time of 12.57s, while Germany's Cindy Roleder claimed silver and Alina Talay of Belarus grabbed bronze.

Defending champion Brianna Rollins of the USA missed out on a medal after finishing fourth.
