Ryan Bailey has insisted that he is not feeling any pressure after clocking the fastest time in the 100m heats.
The American won his race in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon in 9.88 seconds but claims that he is only focusing on his own form heading into the event's climax on Sunday.
"I just wanted to get out there and run my heat," Bailey said. "I knew that if I stayed healthy I'd be okay. It was surprisingly easy.
"There's no pressure on me whatsoever. I really focus on myself and I'm not aware of anyone else."
Bailey qualified for the Olympics by finishing third in the American trials in June.
