Chris Tomlinson has qualified for the long jump final at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu despite suffering from a knee injury.
The Great British athlete advanced as the final qualifier in 12th position earlier today and has revealed that his injury will not prevent him from competing for a medal.
"I didn't compete very well but I'm in the final, that's the main thing. We all start on zero there," Tomlinson told BBC Radio Five live.
"It's the World Championship final, there's no way I'm pulling out. If it stands up, good, if not I'll go down trying."
The 29-year-old has never finished higher than eighth in the Championships.
